Flourish 2024 // Lead with Purpose Seminars

Keynote Seminar: Lead with Purpose – Majesty Room

Eric Rojas, Executive Pastor
(Rolling Hills Community Church, Franklin, TN)

Our keynote speaker will continue with themes from the morning sermons.

  • Fri: Practical steps to growth as a purposeful leader. We’ll visit resources, practices, daily / monthly /annual goals to grow in purpose and in leadership skills.
  • Sat: How to help bring more Godly purpose to family ministry in your church. We’ll build on the morning sermon and move into practical application.
  • Sun: How to work with your church leadership teams to ensure purpose, direction and kingdom advancement. We will get very practical with leadership development, team leadership and individual/team evaluation.

Hospitality for Amateurs: Contemporary Applications of Biblical Hospitality – Alpha & Omega Room

Wes Furlong, Director of Church Leadership (Evana Network)

Biblical hospitality is dead. Should it be resuscitated in some way? In this seminar, we will explore the main themes of hospitality in scripture and how they might inform our perspective of (and approach toward) generosity and service. Some practical concepts we’ll consider include “tithe your home”, discerning boundaries and risks, and how an eternal perspective helps us collaborate more effectively with God in His work in the world.

The Psalms-Shaped Heart – Great Shepherd Room

Tyler Hartford, Director of Church Leadership (Evana Network)

The Psalms can profoundly shape our inner lives if we allow them to become our own prayers. This simple workshop will be devotional in purpose, with opportunities for reflection and prayer around three areas.

  • Fri: Discovering Christ in the Psalms.
  • Sat: Observing the Creator’s World.
  • Sun: Growing our Trust in God.

A Culture that Develops Leaders (updated) – Chapel Room

Pastors of Dayspring
(Dayspring Christian Fellowship, Massillon, OH) – Chapel Meeting Room

Dayspring’s staff has worked to grow a leadership development culture that honors. We will share
vision and techniques we have applied and give practical Biblical ways others can do the same.

  • Fri: Pastor Kent Miller: how we honor God and others by seeing and calling out gifts that have been missed. Please bring your church directory.
  • Sat: Pastor Heather Curtis: how we honor God and others by developing and discipling gifts given by Jesus.
  • Sun: Pastor Jim Bartholomew: how we have become a culture that honors God and others: convinced Holy Spirit is into fully transforming, not merely adjusting.

Women of the Word (updated)– Shekinah Room

Darlene Sommers, Director of Operations (Evana Network) & Tonya Dean, Board Member (Evana Network)

We all CAN be equipped to love the Bible as we should. We will discuss various approaches to Bible study and learn about the 5 P’s of SOUND study: Purpose, Perspective, Patience, Process, and Prayer. Our hope and prayer is we will develop a deep and abiding love for God through study of the text. And we will develop a real hunger and thirst for His Word. Even if you are already experiencing this, then our hope is that you will be able to use the tools we learn about and take them back to your congregations and instruct & lead other women. We recommend that participants purchase Jen Wilken’s Women of the Word prior to the conference. (Updated)
